Our organic Sencha tea is sourced from Uji, Kyoto, from the oldest tea-producing region in Japan. Grown under full sunlight, freshly picked and steamed to prevent natural oxidation, and precisely rolled and dried to ensure an umami-rich taste. So the quality of the tea is reflective in its delicate form, made only from the most youthful leaves, that when steeped, some fine grounds may be noticed at the bottom of the cup. The Sencha brews to give a bright emerald infusion with grassy aromas. Additional notes of seaweed and ground nuts give this tea a mellow and refreshing taste.
